Concours d' Elegance at Lake Tahoe
What a weekend! Hot Summer weather, and cool classic boats. I took the family-and had a ball. I met with some fun, and interesting folks. Traded stories, and made new friends. Obexer's is always fun to visit-their marina is really great! The show organizer did a wonderful job-topping last years event. Looking forward to entering my boat one day. She still needs a little "work"
The 730 miles south was worth the trip, see you next year!
Walking onto the dock, wow! Look at the water-those boats!!
"Split Second" a race boat-with a V12 Rolls Royce. Gorgeous!
Fantastic Cris Craft. That polished aluminum...
I'm checking out a very rare W-Series Allison. It's in 'Scooter Too' a Hydro. I geeked out over the fact that this still exists. Amazing.
Another view. This is in a Hydro that was owned by Henry J. Kaiser.
The fact sheet on this super interesting Hydro!
The Liberty, with...a Liberty in it. I believe it is the only surviving 28 foot Garwood-that has always been powered by Liberty. My wife is biased, her fave boat in the show! The only Liberty in the show this year-last year there were so many. Had to show off one Liberty because they are what I am about.
Parting shot! This one is for you...Brian. Wish you could have met "Kitty" ;)
